Master Your Mindset and Overcome Self-Deception (Part One)

What if you are limitless? What if every day you knew that nothing or no one would
get you down? What if self-doubt is replaced with unshakeable conviction? Imagine a snowball
of momentum and confidence regardless of external setbacks.
Obsessive people live their potential with convictions. What’s the key difference between the
tiny subset of movers and shakers of the world and the majority who equally love their

them to boost their performance and part of my work is to help identify and remove obstacles
that get in their way. As I engaged with more and more leaders, I started to notice a pattern of
margin. Among those who operated within a limited mindset and the limitless minority.
It turns out what held those otherwise exceptional and talented people wasn’t a lack of skill,
experience and even resources. It was often rooted in a relationship with the closest and most
influential person in their lives and this person could always appear to care. But instead, would
sabotage their progress and growth. You have such a person in your life too: they are much
closer than you realize because they exist up in your head (UP HERE!) In your mind!
I’m not talking about imaginary friends. I’m talking about your INNER-DECEIVER. Each time
it deceives you, judges you and tries to spotlight on your weaknesses. When you’re unaware of
it, it can lead to destructive self-doubt and even self-sabotage. It was clear to me that the highest
and best performers have devised ways to suppress their self-doubt.
